About Empowher.
Empowher Northeast is a community interest company that aims to empower women in the northeast through accredited and non-accredited workshops and activities that aim to promote equality limit social exclusion, and increase job opportunities and social capital. the business aims to generate money by providing alternative provisions conducting courses and using the profit to generate further workshops or opportunities our most recent workshop was funded by Belmont local councillor Christine Fletcher and we volunteered a 6-week feel-good workshop for women most financially vulnerable or excluded in society.
business aims the company will deliver accredited training and non-accredited workshops to empower women in the north-east region. our company goals are to limit social exclusion and deprivation by helping women back into work to providing women with new opportunities using education. To give women confidence and to increase social capital in areas of deprivation.


Our vision
Provide a pathway into employment/self-employment for young people struggling in mainstream education. Provide a safe welcoming space for the delivery of beauty courses offering financial support not only in the classroom but also after the completion of their course
Short-term goals.
We aim to deliver at least 4 projects locally around the Durham city area in our first year and gather information using focus groups and questionnaires to improve our strategy.
We will liaise with local councillors in the north-east to meet local aims and objectives and to keep up to date with need long term goals.
