About Empowher.
EmpowHer Northeast is a Community Interest Company dedicated to creating positive opportunities for young people and adults who may be facing barriers to education or employment.
We provide alternative provision for young people aged 13–16, offering accredited Level 1 Beauty Therapy programmes. Our courses are designed for students who, for a variety of reasons, are no longer able to attend mainstream school. This may include challenges such as mental health difficulties, experiences of bullying, family-related issues, or behavioural concerns. By creating a safe, nurturing, and practical learning environment, we aim to re-engage young people in education while equipping them with skills that build both confidence and future opportunities.
Our vision
At EmpowHer Northeast, our mission is to empower individuals through education, creativity, and personal growth. We believe in offering more than just training; we provide a pathway to brighter futures, stronger communities, and renewed hope.
In addition to our work with young learners, we also deliver fully funded beauty courses for individuals in the wider community. These are particularly aimed at supporting those who have been affected by domestic abuse, teenage pregnancy, or other difficult life circumstances. Through these programmes, participants are given the chance to gain qualifications, rebuild self-esteem, and take positive steps towards independence and employment.
